Overview

Reading Islamic Centre (RIC), also known as Jamme Masjid Ghausia, provides a place of prayer and congregation to the Muslim community of Reading. RIC being a charity (295423), is only able to run effectively due to the generous donations from the community of Reading.

We have two centres which are situated at 50-52 South Street, Reading RG1 4RA and 1-3 Amity Road, Reading RG1 3LN. Both centres provide 5 times daily congregational prayers lead by an Imam and have Wudu (ritual purification) facilities.

The mission of RIC is to advance the religion of Islam in accordance with the teaching of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah (traditional customs and practices) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
